Bay Area fans of the Parquet Courts have much to rejoice about as the Brooklyn-based indie punks return to San Francisco only months after their last visit. Though fans got a taste of their new material at the Great American show, those in attendance at the Independent are sure to be treated to a more polished, finished product as the band is set to release its sophomore effort, Sunbathing Animal. It’s of little surprise that Parquet Courts are returning to the area as these guys continue a feverish trek around the globe, firing up crowds with their irreverent take on the state of rock and roll. Local fuzz punks, CCR Headcleaner, will offer support once again alongside heat-seeking upstarts, SCRAPER. What better way to inject some adrenaline into your week than by scoring some free tickets to this Tuesday’s show at the Independent.
