Failure //
Great American Music Hall — San Francisco
May 15th, 2014 (Wednesday) //

Wanna go see one of the best alternative rocks bands from the 90’s you may have never heard of? Well, ya should, because LA-based Failure have reunited, recently toured with Tool and are basically having a second life some 16 years after calling it quits. What set Failure apart from their contemporaries so many years ago was their dynamic guitar work with the use of signal processing and a bevy of impressive effects. Their disband in 1997 splintered the group into various projects such as A Perfect Circle, Autolux and Queens of the Stoneage.

The subsequent reunion took place in February at the El Rey in LA, followed by the announcement of a grip of shows with Tool, A Perfect Circle and other related acts. Shortly thereafter, an announcement of a new release gave longtime fans even more to rejoice about with a forthcoming batch of spaced-out, grunge-leaning rock anthems. Great American Hall will be the first intimate setting that Bay Area fans will have to see this prolific California rock act this upcoming Wednesday, as this will be presented as “An Evening With”. -Kevin Quandt
