Releasing its fifth full-length album Christmas Island on Side One Dummy Records in May, Andrew Jackson Jihad makes a stop in SF on Monday night for a headlining show at Slim’s as its 36-date North American tour this summer winds down. After breaking out in 2006 thanks to some high-profile festival appearances, the Phoenix-based folk-punk outfit has been going strong for almost a decade now after singer/guitarist Sean Bonnette spent much of last year touring solo with Ian Graham of Cheap Girls. Opening things up will be Phoenix four-piece Dogbreth and San Jose punk rockers Hard Girls, whose latest album A Thousand Surfaces on Asian Man Records dropped June 24th. -Josh Herwitt
