CRSSD Festival - Spring 2022 lineup

CRSSD Festival //
Waterfront Park – San Diego
March 5th-6th, 2022 //

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic canceling many New Year’s Eve celebrations and continuing to wreak havoc across the U.S., there’s still a sense of optimism among those in the live music industry for 2022.

But one North American concert promoter who hasn’t been deterred by the latest news surrounding the coronavirus’ Omicron variant happens to be FNGRS CRSSD, the San Diego-based brand that debuted CRSSD Festival back in 2015 and has been going strong ever since with a spring and fall edition of the event each year.

And as the calendar turns to the New Year in a few more days, FNGRS CRSSD is still holding tight with those plans after unleashing another electronic-leaning roster for its first installment of CRSSD 2022.

Leading the way will be headliners Glass Animals and SOFI TUKKER on top of a stacked undercard that features Four Tet, Get Real (Claude VonStroke and Green Velvet), Gorgon City, 070 Shake, Blu DeTiger, Cautious Clay, Chet Faker, Parcels, Franc Moody, Lastlings, SG Lewis, Absolute., Ben UFO B2B Joy Orbison, Dan Shake, Danilo Plessow of Motor City Drum Ensemble, Felix Da Housecat and more. Check out the poster above for the rest of the lineup coming to Waterfront Park this March.

Those who attended the fest in Spring 2020 and Fall 2021 will have access to a special alumni presale starting Tuesday, January 4th at 11 a.m. PT while the general public on-sale will begin the following day on Wednesday, January 5th at 11 a.m. PT.

And with only a little more than two months to go before CRSSD’s return, make sure to look back at our coverage over the years here.

B2B sets highlight HARD Summer’s 2018 lineup

HARD Summer - 2018 lineup

HARD Summer Music Festival //
Auto Club Speedway – Fontana, CA
August 4th-5th, 2018 //

After two years at Auto Club Speedway, HARD Summer is finally settling into its Fontana digs.

The two-day, electronic-focused music festival struggled for several years to find a permanent home in Southern California, leaving Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte for the Fairplex in Pomona at one point not that long ago (three years to be exact), though HARD founder and CEO Gary Richards appears to have found that the one NASCAR race track in the greater Los Angeles area works pretty well for his annual affair, which last August celebrated its 10th anniversary.

But after booking mostly EDM artists in its early years, HARD Summer has made a conscious effort since 2015 to feature some of hip-hop’s biggest names, and that same formula seems to have once again been used in assembling its 2018 roster. Leading the way will be Marshmello, Travis Scott, Yellow Mustard (Yellow Claw + DJ Mustard), Virtual Self (Porter Robinson’s new moniker), Louis the Child, MØ, Flosstradamus and Virgil Abloh, but it’s particularly the back-to-back sets — Zeds Dead B2B JAUZ, Diplo B2B Dillon Francis, Borgore B2B Getter and A-Trak B2B Baauer — that stand out from the fest’s past editions.

Meanwhile, others who will be performing at HARD Summer this year include TroyBoi, San Holo, Rick Ross, Trippie Redd, blackbear, Snakehips, Slushii, Kill the Snails (Kill the Noise + SNAILS), $UICIDEBOY$, Ekali, Petit Biscuit, Lil Skies, Hippie Sabotage, Valentino Khan, Big Wild, wifisfuneral and many more. Check out the poster above for the rest of the lineup.

Unlike the past two years, camping will not be offered in 2018, but HARD Summer organizers are promising a brand-new layout that will see all of the stages now positioned on the infield grass and expanded entry lanes for easier access into the grounds. Tickets to the 18-and-over event can be purchased here starting at $129 this Friday, April 29th at 9 a.m. PT.

If you’re looking to go HARD this summer, this is a party you won’t want to miss.

CRSSD unveils first phase of Fall 2016 lineup

CRSSD Fest - Fall 2016 lineup

CRSSD Festival //
Waterfront Park – San Diego
October 1st-2nd, 2016 //

For its second year on the circuit, CRSSD Festival returned to San Diego’s Waterfront Park this past spring and kicked off festival season on the West Coast in style with headliners ODESZA and Chet Faker.

After turning its attention toward more rock-centric acts like The Flaming Lips and TV on the Radio for its first fall edition last year, the bi-annual SoCal fest went back to curating a mostly electronic-focused lineup in March and has continued that trend with its latest bill of artists for the first weekend of October.

Leading the way as headliners will be Swedish indie-pop band Miike Snow and Chinese-American electronic musician ZHU (born Steven Zhu), while Cashmere Cat, Lido, Flight Facilities, Ta-Ku, Big Wild, MNEK and more will also hit CRSSD’s main stage.

Other notable names who are scheduled to perform at the two-day music festival include Thomas Jack, Trippy Turtle, MALAA, Lee Burridge, Lee Foss and Felix Da Housecat (B2B), Destructo and Busy P (B2B), DJ Harvey, Brodinski, Shiba San, FJK, Sam Feldt, Bakermat, M.A.N.D.Y., AC Slater and Wave Racer, among others. Better yet, fans can expect to hear two-hour extended DJ sets from Bonobo, Maya Jane Coles and Claptone at the City Steps stage, which even boasts Dubfire as a special guest.

Check out the poster above for the rest of the lineup. Advanced tickets for the 21-and-over event will be available here starting Tuesday, July 12th.
