We are bringing you three great mixes this week, including the latest Magic Tape from The Magician, a hip hop throwback by Z-Trip, and a punishing set from Two Fingers.
The Magician — Magic Tape 39
The Magician has just released Magic Tape #39, part of a series of mixes shrouded in mystery yet always worth a listen. You’ll find a mix of electro, house, and indie dance including his own remixes and exclusives. If you enjoy #39, his previous releases do not disappoint.
Z-Trip — BBC Radio1 Hip Hop Takeover Mix
This mix originally aired in November on BBC Radio 1 and is now readily available to us fans in the US. On this one Z-Trip goes back to his roots, with an uncompromising mix of hip hop seamlessly blended as only Z-Trip can. As much as I enjoy the across-the-spectrum mixes we typically see from Z, it is refreshing to hear a new hip hop mix of this quality.
Two Fingers – DJ Set 2013
Two Fingers is the alter-ego of Amon Tobin. As this year will mainly spent in the studio, he has released one of his dj sets from 2013. This mix showcases a variety of styles on the harder side and it pounds. This is in no way a relaxing Sunday morning mix. Tracks from Amon himself, Para One, Flying Lotus, Noisia, Say Nothin, Metallica, and more are included. Enjoy!
