The Pimps of Joytime are set to embark on a west coast winter tour, and San Francisco’s The Independent is hosting a two night stand of Janxta Funk Spirit and celebratory elation. We spoke with front man Brian J after they opened for Trombone Shorty at the Fillmore about a year ago and we were on the scene last year for the Pimp’s sold out run at The Independent last year — an upbeat, fun time is pretty much guaranteed.
