The ‘Best of’ mixes from Smalltown DJs is something I look forward to each January. For their sixth installment you will find tracks and remixes from Flume, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Jagwar Ma, Phoenix, Disclosure, Dan Croll, and many others. Always a treat.
Alex Metric — Tour Jams: Volume 1
Alex Metric gives us a glimpse into what he’s listening to that keeps him going while on the road. Tunes from Holy Ghost!, Drake, Moderat, Mayer Hawthorne (Oliver Remix), St Lucia, James Holden, and more. Here is how Alex describes it:
“I’ve been on the road pretty solidly since August. I wanted to put together a mix of the tracks I’ve been listening to while on the road. Those tracks on my ipod that kept getting listened to again and again. The tracks that go on when I’m in my hotel room, in a bunk on a tourbus, waiting in airports or looking out at the clouds while in the sky.”

Four Tet — January 2014 Mix
After some issues with Soundcloud getting this online, you can now stream/download the latest mix from Kieran Hebden a.k.a. Four Tet. His latest clocks in at just over an hour and features a mystery tracklist that has many stumped. Enjoy the lo-fi and classic house sounds as a perfect jump off to your weekend!
