Since its official debut in 2015, CRSSD has found a home at San Diego’s scenic Waterfront Park and become a mainstay across Southern California’s ever-expanding live music landscape.

California-based event promoter FNGRS CRSSD has organized seven editions of the bi-annual music festival in that time, partnering with Goldenvoice early on, and has already announced its eighth installment almost four months after Empire of the Sun and Gorgon City topped the fest’s Spring 2018 lineup.

Headlining this time around will be British DJ/producer Duke Dumont, who we saw close out last year’s inaugural Skyline festival (read our review here), and Canadian electronic duo Bob Moses. This won’t be either’s first time performing at CRSSD, with one previously serving as a headliner (Duke Dumont) and the other as an undercard act (Bob Moses).

UPDATE (August 9th): Organizers have unveiled Phase 2 of the Fall 2018 lineup, with Mount Kimbie, Big Wild, Louis the Child, Kiiara and more joining the party this September.

Though CRSSD’s rosters have often leaned in the electronic direction and continue to as evidenced by this latest one, there was a time when it strayed off course and gave rock a chance, booking The Flaming Lips and TV on the Radio surprisingly enough.

Meanwhile, the two-day festival’s Fall 2018 bill also boasts Marian Hill, Sofi Tukker, Flight Facilities, Hayden James, PNAU, Autograf, Elderbrook, shallou, Claptone, Dusky, Anti-Up, Thomas Jack, AC Slater B2B Jack Beats, Darius (Live), Detlef, Cut Snake B2B Ardalan, Nina Kraviz, John Digweed and more.

See the poster above for the rest of the lineup. Advanced tickets for the 21-and-over event will be available here starting Tuesday, July 3rd at Noon PT.

At just 21 years old, Marcel Everett is a prominent record producer and electronic musician who records and performs under the name XXYYXX. Growing up in Orlando, he began his career at 13, eventually finding himself deeply experimenting with electronic music.

Influenced by Lapalux, Star Slinger and Disclosure, Everett engrossed himself in creating his own crisp, experimental-bass sound and started building a following through his remixes of Usher, Future and Tinashe. His big break came back in 2013, when his single “Pay Attention” exceeded 1 million plays on Bandcamp. That same year, he headlined Noise Pop and put out “What We Want” on the “Grand Theft Auto V” soundtrack to further his career.

Everett has spent the majority of this past year touring as well as playing large-scale music festivals like HARD Summer, Mysteryland USA and Ancient Future. In 2016, he was credited for working on Torey Lanez’s single “Flex” that appeared on rapper/singer’s debut LP I Told You. XXYYXX’s hottest tracks include “About You”, “Fields” and “DMT”.

This Saturday, you can catch XXYYXX perform live at an undisclosed location in the Bay Area after UK producer ElderBrook and Chicago’s very own DJ Pierre take the stage at an unofficial all-night Outside Lands 2017 after party. A limited number of tickets are still available for $20, or you could win a pair of tickets by submitting your full name and email below.

CRSSD reveals Spring 2017 lineup

CRSSD Festival - Spring 2017 lineup

CRSSD Festival //
Waterfront Park – San Diego
March 4th-5th, 2017 //

Back for a third straight year, CRSSD Festival has announced the lineup for its Spring 2017 edition that should once again appeal to electronic music fans throughout California.

The bi-annual music festival will return to San Diego’s Waterfront Park for the first weekend in March boasting Flume and Duke Dumont as headliners. This will mark the first time either artist has been scheduled to perform at CRSSD, which made a big splash in its inaugural year and then kicked off festival season on the West Coast in 2016 with ODESZA and Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker) earning top billing.

Meanwhile, the undercard at CRSSD this spring looks particularly enticing between Blood Orange, Bob Moses, AlunaGeorge and Snakehips. Other notable names on the bill include Dusky (Live), Giraffage, Lost Frequencies, HVOB, Billie Eilish, Elderbrook, Kasbo, Rad Cat, Justin Martin, 2ManyDJs, Lane 8, Jackmaster, Skream, Horse Meat Disco, Cut Snake, Darius, Amtrac, Jerry Folk, Louis Futon, Wax Motif, Yotto, Seth Troxler and Eats Everything (B2B), Âme (Live), Recondite (Live), Damian Lazarus, RØDHÅD, Tensnake and Josh Wink.

See the poster above for the rest of the lineup. Advanced tickets for the 21-and-over event will be available here starting Tuesday, December 27th.
